Junior Development (U10)
Overview
The natural stepping stone from the Snow Stars program is the U10 Junior Development program developed for 8 & 9 year old skiers seeking to invest more time into their skiing abilities.
- 2 day format (Training days beginning at 830-9am for both Saturday and Sunday)
- Intended for those who are interested in pursuing ski racing as a sport beyond SnowStars
- Group is eligible to attend 2-3 events each season.
- Some ski camps may be made available to the group (pre-season, Christmas camps, etc)
Program Days: Saturday and Sunday.
Requirements:
- Age As December 31: Ages 8,9(U10)
- Be able to ski independently, parralell and in Control on blue and black runs
- Be able to ride the chairlift independantly, without assistance.
- Have GREAT listening skills, be able to act independently with minor guidance, and FOLLOW coach direction and respect PMRC’s athelete code of conduct.
A Typical Junior development Training Day
- 8:45 AM – Meet in front of the lodge with coaches & teammates
- Morning session – Guided Warmup, Freeski warmup, drills, gate environments if available.
- 11:00 AM –Lunch (no supervision), Atheletes will be dismissed to the lodge.
- 11:55PM – Guided ski improvement drills, terrain exploration
- 2:00 PM – End of day, Athletes dismissed at Race shack*
- *End of day times and Lunch Time may vary slightly each day based on hill conditions, crowds, weather and coach’s discretion
Events
Junior Development atheletes will typically have the option of attending 2-3 events per season:
- Mark Arendz(brookvale) PEI , Typically first weekend of march break
- Crabbe Snow star Festival – 1 Day Typically mid march.
- Skills events festivals

Fees
U10 Junior Development Registration – 2 days: $750+ fees
Alpine Canada fee : 106.00
Ski NB fee : $37.50
Total Fees : 851.05
